I was working at Zaxby's with my best friend Matt back in high school. We sometimes car pooled together and we would roll in listening to "kids of summer" by the Frantics which opens with the line " I don't wanna go to work again." This song isn't just about not wanting to go to work but, it serves as a reminder of that time and the dreams and friendships that were vibrant in that season. -Gerren

lyrics
Suit up in that navy blue and head on
down the road with you to a place where
we don't wanna be..singin'...
I don't wanna go to work again
Dress up in khaki pants and forfeit all my summer plans
earn some cash and gain
responsibility
when will my life start picking up?
I'm just a kid with grown up dreams.
